The founder of Glasgold Group Plastic Surgery, Dr. Alvin Glasgold is a New Jersey cosmetic surgeon certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery; the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery; and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Consistently listed in Castle Connolly's Top Doctors in America, he is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery; the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the American Society of Head and Neck Surgery.

He specializes in rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and facial implants, but could also perform all of the most requested facial aesthetic procedures. Apart from being a skilled cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Glasgold also writes extensively on medical issues, with 33 articles printed in major medical publications, as well as by-lining a number of facial plastic surgery textbook chapters. On top of all that, he authored a textbook called Application of Biomaterials in Facial Plastic Surgery.

A graduate of New York Medical College, he served as an intern at New York City’s Beth Israel Hospital, then later became a resident at the Bronx Veteran's Hospital and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. A stint with the U.S. Air Force Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama followed.

For 25 years, Dr. Glasgold has served as the Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He is also an attending physician at both St. Peter's Medical Center, New Brunswick, NJ, and the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Glasgold is also a member of the medical community academe, having lectured and taught courses that demonstrate various different approaches to facial plastic surgery techniques over the years. He is credited with perfecting some of these techniques.

For ten years, he served as a Resident Instructor of Facial Plastic Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. At present, he is a clinical professor of surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He has also served as a director of a Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship Program of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the past decade. He was also a board examiner for the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery.

For his invaluable contributions to facial plastic surgery, Dr. Glasgold received the Merit Award from the New Jersey Academy of Otolaryngology. His educational services were recognized as well, having been the recipient of the Honor Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.

Dr. Glasgold currently lives with his wife Joyce in Highland Park, New Jersey. He also has two sons, Mark and Robert, who are board-certified facial plastic surgeons themselves, and are his partners in the practice he founded 25 years ago. The couple also has a daughter, Ellen Lange, a licensed aesthetician.
