There something going on in cosmetic surgery that is slowly becoming a trend. Just as men have considerably opened up to getting cosmetic surgery makeover to maintain or enhance their looks, it appears that getting cosmetic surgery has become a couple’s thing. Yes, wives have successfully dragged their husbands to plastic surgery centers to undergo operations together.
Care Fair just can’t help but notice.
More men are beginning to accept plastic surgery as a way to maintain their good lucks and reverse or halt the aging process. This has resulted in cosmetic surgery becoming a couple’s thing. Between 1994 and 2000 the number of men in the US who had liposuction tripled, showing an increasing acceptance and destigmatization of cosmetic surgery among men.
Not only are couples getting plastic surgery together to fix problem areas, mothers and daughters and friends are also going under the knife together in increasing numbers.
Nonetheless, cosmetic surgery is still done more by women than men. Over 90% of the 8.5 million persons who had some form of cosmetic procedure in 2004 were women.
There has been no survey yet that would prove if couples that get makeovers together, stays together. Perhaps that is something AC Nielsen needs to look into as of the moment.
