The story of Leo and Jessica Loos is an example of an informed approach to cosmetic surgery. First and foremost, they have realistic expectations. They have placed in much weight to consultation with their surgeon as to the benefits and risks of the procedure. They managed to weigh in the facts and details and proceeded with the operations armed with the right information. Now, they are enjoying the things that they reap from their endeavors. In fact, they even said that having cosmetic surgery together has deepened their relationship to a certain degree.
Today, looking back on their three-year weight-loss journey, Jessica and Leo say the changes on the inside have been as great as the physical transformation. Both say they feel things more acutely now and have shed the feelings of detachment they experienced when they were overweight. The experience has strengthened their relationship.
With healthier and nicely contoured bodies, Leo and Jessica have never been this happy about themselves. On top of that, their relationship has also benefited from the process. However, this is not a strange case in cosmetic surgery. As people get more confident about themselves, they are much ready to give what is due to the relationships that they have. This article proves that point:
The study, published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, surveyed 330 patients who had had major cosmetic surgery procedures. Eighty percent of patients having a breast augmentation and 50% of the patients having a body procedure reported improvements in their sexual satisfaction. Roughly 70% of the patients reported that their partner’s sex life had also improved.
Though cosmetic surgery has these additional benefits up its sleeve, forging relationships or having a great sex life should not be made as reasons for having surgery. But having a good self-esteem can be a good motivating factor for doing so. After all, this is more often than not, the usual case.
