Donda West’s surgeon had malpractice suits

The music and entertainment world has been shocked by the sudden death of Donda West, mother of famous rapper Kanye West. Reports say that Donda died during a cosmetic surgery procedure but later reports say that her rep is actually clueless about the whole thing. Other reports say that Donda died because of cosmetic surgery complications.

Dr. Jan Adams identified himself as the plastic surgeon who operated on Donda. The plastic surgeon told TMZ that he did nothing wrong to the patient. He also noted that he performed the tummy tuck and breast reduction procedures on Donda following the standard procedures, saying that there was no mistake with the way he did the operation. He also said that Donda’s death was unforeseen and could have been caused by a heart attack, pulmonary embolism or massive vomiting.

TMZ claims that police records show Dr. Adams’ checkered history. TMZ says that Adams was convicted of DUIs in 1994, 2003, and 2006. Furthermore, the Board of California filed legal papers last April asking to revoke or suspend Adam’s medical license. TMZ also unearthed two malpractice judgments against Adams from 2001.

Dr. Jan Adams is not board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He told TMZ that he met Donda West over a period of four months. Donda was allegedly uncertain about her plastic surgery endeavor and has changed her mind numerous times about it.

Adams is a well known plastic surgeon who made a guest appearance on Oprah in 2003. He was also the host of Discovery Channel’s Plastic Surgery: Before and After. He also co-hosted NBC’s The Other Half – the male version of The View.
