It has been a long-held notion that in order to get ageless, you need to get cosmetic surgery. Though this works well for the general public; getting Botox treatments to ward off wrinkles, and facial liposuction to suck out excess fat, still others are not convinced that this is the only way to address the aging dilemma.

One of these outspoken personalities who believe that there’s more to youthful beauty than getting beauty injections is pharmaceutical chemist Ben Kaminsky, author of the book, Beyond Botox.

A plastic surgery blog posted an interesting article about the things that we can do in order to prevent premature wrinkles from appearing on our skin. We only think of getting rid of wrinkles when they are already there. We use various skin treatments such as Botox, chemical peels, or injectable fillers to get rid of the lines, but we seldom think that the best way to avoid wrinkles is to keep from happening in the first place.

Chemical peels are generally known to improve and smoothen the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Now, cosmetic chemical peels have something else to offer aside from those aforementioned benefits.

According to Cosmetic Surgery Times, a recent study suggests that cosmetic chemical peels may result in a lower rate of the incidence of some types of skin cancer.

Migraine sufferers can now finally be set free from the perils of migraine headache.

A placebo-controlled study funded by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and National Endowment for Plastic Surgery was conducted in order to find out if plastic surgery has something to do with stopping migraine. The results were quite impressive. Plastic surgeons found that after a surgical treatment, 90% of severe migraine sufferers reported complete riddance or significant decline in the frequency and intensity of headaches.
