Those are planning to have cosmetic surgery and are weary about the results, then, this article is for you.

BBC News presents a high-tech face scanner that can be used to predict the effectiveness of a certain cosmetic surgery procedure on a patient. The article has this to say:

A high-tech face scanner which predicts the effectiveness of plastic surgery has been developed in East Sussex.

The equipment at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead uses 3D imaging to provide accurate measurements of skin contours.

Using this technology, patients can now be armed with the right information as to how the procedure would affect their appearance. Aside from that, they would be able to know how long the treatment will last and which treatment brings the best results.

Computer imaging is also available for those who want to see a result of a certain procedure. This technology is already used by most cosmetic surgery centers and clinics. The patient can now see what they would look like after the surgery is done. The results may not exactly be the ones shown on the image, but at least they have something to look forward to when the wounds heal and the scars disappear.
