Dr. Lance Everett Wyatt is Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon who was born in Nashville. His formal education began at the Center for Early Education in West Los Angeles and graduated from Beverly Hills High School. He is currently holding degrees from Howard University and the UCLA School of Medicine, where he developed his interest in cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Wyatt completed his seven years of training in the Division of General Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine. He was Chief Resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Training Program. His exposure to cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at the finest medical centers in the world such as The Massachusetts General Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, The Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Boston, has given him so much insights into the field, while serving as a Clinical Fellow in Surgery at the Harvard Medical School.
His stay in Harvard enabled him to maintain his academic pursuits while having rigorous training in various areas of surgery such as thoracoabdominal reconstruction, upper and lower extremity reconstruction, pediatric hand, craniofacial, microsurgery, as well as the subtle art of aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Wyatt was also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Plastic Surgery at UCLA. As senior research fellow, he was principal investigator on numerous grants from the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation and co-investigator of a VA Merit Review, focusing on tissue repair and regeneration.
Aside from that, Dr. Wyatt authored numerous plastic surgery textbook chapters. His scholarly abstracts and publications appear in peer-reviewed literature and have been presented at national and international conferences and forums.
With his extensive knowledge in his chosen field, Dr. Wyatt has spoken to academic and association audiences throughout the United States and abroad on physician leadership in society. He is also a recipient of the 2003 American Medical Association Foundation Leadership Award.
Identified as one of 50 Leaders of Tomorrow by Ebony Magazine, Wyatt serves as a Delegate to the United States – Japan Foundation, is a Fellow of the Remarque Forum, and was appointed in 1999 by President William Jefferson Clinton as a White House Fellow.
