Experts have noticed a very significant increase in the number of men undergoing cosmetic surgery. Reports say that the figures soared by 140 percent in five years, which tells a lot about how men view beauty and good grooming as important aspects of their lives.
Cosmetic surgeons have a general statement on this. They say that the baby boomer generation of men cannot face aging naturally, if there are options.
Liz Dale, Director of the Harley Medical Group has this to say:
“The idea of men letting themselves go with age is no longer accurate. We’ve seen a dramatic increase in men of this age coming to our clinics.
Liposuction has been the favorite cosmetic surgery procedure among men. They want fat to be taken off from their abdomens, flanks, and chins. They also hate the fat that is found in their chests --- man-boobs or gynecomastia --- and so they go through breast reduction surgery which uses a technique similar to liposuction.
Men are also fascinated with eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty. Those nasty eyebags do make one look old. The procedure promises to take 10 years off a man’s appearance. Of course, men are thrilled by such a claim.
Likewise, men go to cosmetic surgery clinics to get facelifts, nose jobs, and tummy tucks. Who wouldn’t want to have hard abs? Men are dying to look like models in the magazine, thus, they would even undergo a neck lift procedure and a chin implant just to make sure they won’t miss out on anything.
