Men have already been hooked to cosmetic surgery as much as women have. Gone are the days when men simply brush off thoughts or suggestions concerning makeovers, and are now actually making every effort possible to get their faces and bodies done.
My Finances reports that an increasing number of men are taking out loans to fund cosmetic surgery makeovers. Here’s more to this story:
Sainsbury's Bank data shows one in five of all the loans taken out to pay for cosmetic surgery is now taken out by a man.
Overall, around £1.8 million is spent on plastic surgery every day in Britain.
And this year alone more than £5 million of this will be funded by debt, with the average size loan for a bit of nip and tuck standing at £6,500.
"As it becomes less taboo for many people, a growing number of men and women may be looking to improve their looks and fund this with loans," said Steven Bailie, Sainsbury’s Bank loans manager.
The most popular procedures that men usually go through include Botox, facelifts, nose jobs, tummy tucks, and ear operations.
There’s no doubt now that men have already been hooked with nip and tuck and it seems that the trend has already reached the point of no return where men look for various ways (e.g. loans) in order to fund their cosmetic surgery makeover needs.
