It is evident that men are starting to really consider cosmetic surgery the same way women naturally view it. Men of today has generally opened up and accepted the fact that there are things that cannot be dealt with by exercise and proper diet, especially if it's wrinkles, jowls, and the stubborn excess fat , we are talking about.
To set the record straight, according to an article from Forbes, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons noted that from 2000 to 2005, there was a whopping 44% increase in minimally invasive cosmetic procedures among men.
The article also pointed out the three most popular procedures performed on men.
For many of those patients, that means getting minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as Botox, microdermabrasion or laser hair removal, the top three most popular among males last year.
Despite the rise of in-and-out procedures, cosmetic surgical procedures such as nose reshaping, hair transplantation and liposuction also remain popular among men. Men's liposuction, which involves the removal of excess fat through a suctioning device, went up 10 % from 2004 to 2005, based on ASPS figures.
Cosmetic surgeons consider men as the biggest untapped market in cosmetic surgery. And with them opening up their doors to the various cosmetic surgery procedures available to date, with emphasis on minimally invasive procedures and liposuction, the cosmetic surgery industry - with its high-caliber board-certified cosmetic surgeons and highly effective techniques – is more than willing to deliver its services to them.
