The Holiday rush is over but cosmetic surgery gift certificates may still be up for grabs. People are forming up long queues not just in shopping malls but also in plastic surgeon’s offices. It is hard to resist the need to erase those lines and remove those jowls. Everyone wants to welcome the New Year with a refreshed look.
Plastic surgeons are glad that this sort of thing is happening but they are also concerned of the quality of service patients are getting with their cosmetic surgery work. Thus, they are suggesting that patients should be asking these very important questions to their surgeons before they take the plunge and get breast augmentation surgery.

Surgeons suggest that consumers should still ask a couple of specific questions.
1. Ask about the right size implant for your body. A recent study published in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery found that in some women larger implants reduced nipple sensation.
2. Ask about the surgeon’s technique. There are differences in where the incision to insert the implant is made.
3. Ask about the short and long-term risks.
There are more questions to ask especially if patients opt for the newly approved silicone breast implants. Since breast augmentation is not covered by medical insurance so it is very important that patients should really be careful with their decisions.
