Dr. Ross Zbar is a New Jersey cosmetic surgeon who holds board certification in head and neck surgery from the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Zbar is a distinguished alumnus of Harvard University, where he got his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, as Magna cum Laude, a John Harvard Scholar, and an Adams House Coat of Arms recipient.
He studied medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, and received further honors as a Farr Scholar. His general surgery internship was completed at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, and his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Furthermore, his residency in cosmetic surgery was completed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas, TX. He likewise did his fellowship in pediatric plastic surgery at Interplast in Mountain View, CA.
As an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Surgery at UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey, Dr. Zbar has hospital privileges at New Jersey hospitals such as Clara Maas Medical Center, in Belleville, Mountainside Hospital, in Montclair, Robert Wooed Johnson Surgery Center, in East Brunswick, the University of Medicine and Dentistry, in Newark, and St. Joseph’s Medical Center, in Paterson.
Aside from his numerous responsibilities, Dr. Zbar also managed to author a number of articles published in various journals such as the American Journal of Medical Genetics and New England Journal of Medicine, to name a few.
Dr. Zbar is an active member of professional societies such as the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, American Academy of Otolaryngology, and American College of Surgeons.
Lastly, Dr. Zbar is a Fellow of the American Society of Plastic Surgery; the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association; the American Academy of Otolaryngology; and the American College of Surgeons.
