Any plastic surgery procedure has its own set of potential risks and complications. When these complications arise during the surgery or even after it, cosmetic surgeons who are not adept in handling the situation can even make the case worse and give out results that are from what is expected of the procedure. Rhinoplasty is no exception. In fact, since rhinoplasty is considered to be a difficult procedure by most cosmetic surgeons, it is not unusual to know that there are bad nose jobs here and there.

Botox is in for another treat. After making headlines for doing wonders on Bell’s palsy and on easing out scars, Botox is again on the spotlight but this time, it falls on the not-so-encouraging category especially on the part of non-users.
Dr. Carter Singh, a psychologist at Britain’s Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, and Martin Kelly, a plastic surgeon of London Plastic Surgery Associates, conducted a study that suggests that Botox can be addictive.

Bradenton Herald has observed the growing trend in cosmetic surgery. Gone are the days when cosmetic surgery was the exclusive option for the rich and famous. Today, it’s all out for middle-class folks to avail; as common as having a facial.
From liposuction to breast augmentations to face-lifts, fat-purging, age-defying, beautifying surgery is booming. Last year, reports the 6,000-member American Society of Plastic Surgeons, some 1.8 million of those surgical procedures were performed, up 4 percent from 2004.
Generally, cosmetic-surgery trends can be summed up as sooner, smaller, more natural.

Bottoming out is a condition where a breast implant become displaced over time and has dropped too low on the chest. This condition is common to women with older breast implants. Women complain that one breast sits higher than the other one because of uneven implant pocket formation.
Capsulorrhaphy is the traditional technique for repairing bottoming out. In this procedure, the scar capsule supporting the implant is brought together to close off the pocket where the implant sits. However, Dr. Robert Frank, a board-certified plastic surgeon doesn’t think that this is a good option.
